My Story
My journey hasn’t been linear.
It’s been shaped by moments of uncertainty, deep questioning, and learning how to find my way back to myself… again and again.
Through different seasons of my life, I’ve experienced what it feels like to feel lost, disconnected, and unsure of where I belong, and through that, I began discovering a different way of living, healing, and understanding myself.
I was born in Zimbabwe, where I spent my early years surrounded by a deep sense of home, connection, and familiarity.
At the same time, there were challenges that shaped me from a young age. During my school years, I experienced bullying, and the country itself was going through a difficult and uncertain political time.
In my final years of high school, I moved to boarding school - another transition that brought both growth and emotional challenges.
Looking back, I can see that even then, there was a quiet thread of searching… of trying to understand where I belonged and who I was becoming.
There have been a few moments in my life where everything felt uncertain, overwhelming, and deeply heavy.
The First Turning Point
At 19, life felt very different from the home I had known.
I had left Zimbabwe, the place where I was born and had grown up, and was navigating a completely new chapter of life. I was studying hospitality management and completing the first practical part of the course, and during that time I experienced bullying in the workplace. Alongside this, my grandfather passed away.
It was a particularly dark and overwhelming period. I was experiencing depression and anxiety, and beneath it all was a deeper question that I didn't yet know how to answer:
Who am I, and what am I meant to be doing with my life?
I felt lost and unsure of where I belonged or what my future was supposed to look like.
During this time, I enrolled in an introductory metaphysics course. I didn't know then how much it would influence the direction of my life.
For the first time, I was introduced to meditation, breathwork, the chakra system and energy work. I began learning how to slow down, create space within myself and understand my experiences in a different way. I later continued this exploration through Reiki, completing my Level 1, Level 2 and Advanced certifications, and Applied Metaphysics.
These practices didn't suddenly make everything better, but they gave me something I desperately needed at the time - a way to connect with myself and begin finding my way through what I was experiencing.
And somewhere within that process, a sense of purpose began to emerge.
I knew what it felt like to feel deeply lost, anxious and helpless, and I didn't want others to feel that they had to move through those experiences alone.
I didn't have all the answers. But for the first time, I had a sense of direction.
The Journey has Shaped Me
Chapter 1 - Searching & Awakening
There came a point in my life where everything felt overwhelming - leaving home, experiencing loss, navigating anxiety, and not knowing who I was or where I was going.
It was during this time that I was introduced to meditation, breathwork, and energy healing. I began to understand myself on a deeper level and slowly found ways to move through the darkness.
This was the beginning of my healing journey and the moment I realized I wanted to help others who felt the same way I once did.
Chapter 2 - Growth, Study & Stepping Forward
I followed that calling into my studies, completing a degree in Health, Community and Social Care, alongside Psychology, and later a Master’s in Psychology.
These years stretched me in ways I never thought possible - especially as someone who once believed I wasn’t “academic enough.”
But they also deepened my understanding of people, mental health, and the complexity of the human experience.
Chapter 3 - Courage, Exploration & Expansion
Life then took me across countries, cultures, and experiences that challenged and expanded me.
From working as a school counsellor, to traveling across Africa, to training as a yoga teacher in Thailand, to facing fears like skydiving and diving - I began to reconnect with a sense of freedom, courage, and possibility.
These experiences taught me how to:
step outside of fear,
trust myself,
and meet life with openness.
Chapter 4 - Burnout, Transition & Returning to Myself
But growth isn’t linear.
There were also periods of burnout, grief, and deep emotional challenge - navigating loss, high-pressure work environments, long-distance relationships, and major life transitions.
At times, I lost connection with myself completely.
And yet, each time, I found my way back - through the same practices I now share with others:
meditation, movement, breath, and self-awareness.
Where I Am Now…
Today, my journey continues - with a deeper sense of self, compassion, and purpose.
I don’t believe we ever truly “arrive,” but I do believe we can learn to move through life with more awareness, resilience, and connection.
Right now, I find myself in a space of transition - moving forwards and backwards, experiencing both openness and moments of uncertainty.
But I’ve come to understand that this, too, is part of the process.
I’m learning to meet myself where I am, to listen more deeply, and to trust that even in the unknown, I am still moving forward.
My INTENTION for life…
Breathe, feel the love, joy, and calm vibrate within each cell and give thanks to life’s moments and connections.
Why I Do This Work
My journey has shaped not only who I am, but how I want to support others.
Who am I?
What am I here to do?
What does this next chapter look like?
And alongside it:
I know what it is like to…
feel overwhelmed by change,
lose your sense of direction,
experience grief and uncertainty,
question who you are,
feel disconnected from yourself,
wonder what comes next…
I’ve also learned the value of…
slowing down,
listening inwardly,
breathing and becoming present,
moving the body,
creating space for reflection,
reconnecting with yourself.
This is the space I want to create…
A space where you can slow down when life feels like a lot.
A place to take a breath, step away from the noise and give yourself some time to think about what you really need.
Together, we can make sense of where you are, explore what matters to you, and look at what might help you feel more like yourself again.
You don't need to know exactly what you want or have your next step figured out.
Sometimes, you just need the space to stop, breathe and begin from where you are.
A Place to Return to…
My intention is forLoren Jenna to be a space where you feel welcome, supported, able to be yourself and you belong.
A space you can return to - whether through a session, a yoga class, a workshop, a retreat, or the Soul Sanctuary Collective.
A place for the quieter moments, the difficult moments and the joyful ones too.
A place to pause, breathe, reconnect, laugh, learn, grow and remember what matters to you.
You don't have to have it all figured out. You can simply come as you are, knowing there is a place for you here.
MIND
Understanding ourselves:
My background in Psychology and Life Coaching has given me a deeper understanding of our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, patterns, relationships and the experiences that shape us.
I use this foundation to help create space for reflection, self-understanding and exploring what matters to you.
My training:
MSc Psychology
BSc Health, Community & Social Care with Psychology
Life Coaching
Postgraduate Certificate in Education
My Foundations
My work has grown through a combination of academic study, professional training, personal practice and, perhaps most importantly, lived experience.
I’ve explored wellbeing from different perspectives over many years, through psychology and coaching, through yoga, body awareness, movement, breath and meditation, and through my own exploration of energy and Reiki.
Each has taught me something different about ourselves and the way we move through life.
BODY
Learning to listen to the body:
Through yoga, movement, breathwork and meditation, I’ve learned how much information our bodies can give us about how we are feeling physically/emotionally and what we need.
My work encourages greater awareness of the body and simple practices that can support relaxation, presence and feeling more at ease.
My training:
500hr Yoga Teacher Training
Meditation & Breathwork
100hr Children's Yoga Teacher Training
85hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
20hr Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training
ENERGY
Exploring the deeper layers of ourselves:
My own exploration of metaphysics, Reiki and the chakra system has given me another way of understanding wellbeing, connection and our relationship with ourselves.
These practices are part of my personal journey and inform the way I hold space for people who are curious to explore this side of themselves.
My training:
Reiki Level 1, 2 & Advanced
Metaphysics, Chakra & Energy Work
Angel Card Reading
Bringing It Together
These three areas don't exist separately for me.
Our thoughts, our bodies and our sense of connection all influence the way we experience life.
My approach brings these different perspectives together, while meeting each person where they are.
There is no one way to feel better, find direction or move through change.
Sometimes we need to understand something.
Sometimes we need to slow down.
Sometimes we need to move.
Sometimes we simply need space to listen to ourselves.
My role is to create that space and support you in finding what works for you.
Working With Me
Working with me is not about having everything figured out or knowing exactly what you need.
It’s about giving yourself the time and space to pause, reflect and explore what feels right for you.
When we work together, we might:
talk through what is on your mind,
explore what feels important to you right now,
gently question patterns or ways of thinking,
use simple practices like breath, movement or stillness,
create space to slow down and listen to yourself,
find small, meaningful steps forward.
There is no pressure to be a certain way, to have the right words, or to know what your next step should be.
You can show up exactly as you are.
This is a space where you can think, feel, move, pause and begin to reconnect with yourself.
A space where you are supported, but not pushed.
A space where you can find your own way, at your own pace.
You might begin with a one-to-one session, join a class, explore a workshop or retreat, or spend time in the Soul Sanctuary Collective.
However you choose to start, you are welcome here.
Beliefs:
Every step we take - forward or backward - is part of our growth.
Nothing is wasted; we are always where we need to be.
Growth happens in small, gentle steps.
Life meets us with opportunities to learn, soften, and return to ourselves.
We have the choice in how we respond, and how we shape our path.
There is wisdom in pausing, breathing, and trusting the timing of things.
When we notice love, joy, and gratitude, we deepen our connection to life.
By listening to our body and mind, we build trust within ourselves.
Even in challenge and grief, there is space for healing and transformation.
We are worthy of a life that feels connected, balanced, and meaningful.
A favourite poem of mine - seeing, hearing and feeling emotions, inviting them in for a cup of tea and then let them leave.
The Guest House
by Rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
